All lawyers are required to keep communications between them and their clients totally confidential. This includes what is discussed in appointments even if the lawyer is not hired. So, we do not speak to anyone, including family and friends, about your case.
In rare occasions, a potential client's issue may involve other current or former clients of our firm. If that happens, we need to determine if the potential client's interests are adverse to the current or former clients. If so, that creates a "confilct of interest" and we cannot undertake representation of that potential client.
